Aloha!

We arrived in paradise on Friday night! The plane ride was very long but Evan did pretty well. I was recovering from a stomach flu so it was a bit challenging at times. But we made it and are having an awesome time so far.

Evan swam in a pool and stuck his feet in the ocean for the first time. We saw Mike Meyers on the beach yesterday, he apparently owns a home directly across the street from the condo. And we got to hang out with the Devereux's for the whole day today.

Evan's First Thanksgiving

I am a little late on posting these Thanksgiving pictures but better late than never I suppose! We had a great Thanksgiving (Evan's first) and have a lot to be thankful for this year especially. We celebrated the holiday at the Kristoferson Farm in the century old cabin which was really neat and cozy. Being the only baby around Evan got loads of attention (as is evident from this video of all of us talking to Evan in incredibly goofy voices).

Snow!

We have had our first snow fall of the year today and Evan seemed to enjoy it. My sweet husband meanwhile is working tirelessly away building the deck despite the weather.

Gram and Nana Reading to Evan

Evan and I are having a great time in S.C. (although he has slept horribly since we got here). I will post more pictures when I return to Seattle next week.

On Our Way to Atlanta & Aiken

Evan and I are leaving for Atlanta on Thursday and will be gone for almost three weeks. I am really looking forward to showing Evan off to all of you in the Southeast! (Wish me luck on the plane ride!)

For those of you in Seattle please keep Aaron occupied as I know it is going to be hard being away from EJ that long!

Evan's First Halloween

Evan has endured his first Halloween...getting dressed up in an uncomfortable costume to appease his parents!

Rolling Over Some More!

Evan just rolled over this afternoon from his back to his stomach! He is a man on the move now!

Rolling Over!

Aaron witnessed Evan rolling over this afternoon from his stomach to his back for the first time! He has been showing off ever since and rolls over every time you lay him on his stomach now. When I laid him down to sleep this evening he had almost completely turned from his back to his stomach as well.

More Family Visits

My aunt Jane and her boyfriend Arturo came to visit from Boston the same weekend as Kay and Ron. Arturo is an amazing photographer and took some great shots of the farm and of the family.

Visits from Gram and Grandpa

Kay and Ron (aka Gram and Grandpa) came for a visit last week to visit their new (and first) grandchild. We took Evan downtown for the first time while they were here and he seemed to love all the bright noises and colors. (We also went to the new Steelhead diner which I would highly recommend for those of you that are local).

Dressing My Little Man

I absolutely love the baby clothes they have for kids nowadays, they are just mini versions of adult clothes. The outfit Evan has on in these pictures is almost identical (minus the bigwheels of course) to clothes that Aaron has. I have gotten to the point where I hate dressing myself (especially with extra pregnancy weight I have right now!) but dressing my little Evan is so much fun!

Kristoferson Farm Golf Scramble

On the 23rd of last month we attended the Fourth Annual Kristoferson Farm Friends & Family Golf Tournament. I didn't play this year, Evan and I hung back at the farm and hiked with the Walbruns. Evan was looking cute (of course!) decked out in his 'farm wear'.

Enjoying his Bumbo

Evan is holding his head up really well now so we have progressed to the 'Bumbo' seat. He loves being able to sit up and check out his surroundings. He's also starting to drool quite a bit as you can see from his shirt!

First Time Away from Mom and Dad

Monday was a big day for us (...ok just me), Evan was away from both Aaron and I for the first time. His Momo (aka Mona) watched him for the afternoon. Fortunately I survived!

Wedding at Semiahmoo

We attended a wedding a couple of weeks ago for our friends Justin and Jenny in Blaine Washington. It was quite hectic for the new parents trying to keep our kids entertained (most of us missed the ceremony in fact)...I will get a babysitter for the next wedding!

We spent the weekend at the Kristoferson Farm so we could be closer to Blaine. We had a great time relaxing at the Bird House and can't wait to get back there. We did look quite comical on the trek up to Camano Island however with our small wagon packed to the roof complete with our two dogs in the back.
